Volume 9: Snap-In Dentures
What are Snap-In Dentures?
Snap-in Dentures, also known as implant retained dentures, are a hybrid between traditional dentures and dental implants . They involve placing implants into the jaw, which serves as an anchor for a denture that “snaps” into place.
There are many benefits such as:
Stability: Won’t slip or shift while eating or speaking
Removable: Easy for cleaning and maintenance
Cost-Effective: Generally less expensive than a full set of dental
implants
Functionality: Improves chewing and speech more than traditional dentures

Things to Consider
Still Removable: Some people prefer a permanently-fixed solution
Requires Adjustment: The attachment may wear over time and need to be replaced
Periodic Relining: Like all dentures, the fit may change as the bone structure changes over time
